Congratulations, it's a boy! Pay up: Mums could be forced to pay for ultrasound image

MOTHERS-TO-BE could be charged for an ultrasound image of their unborn baby as hospital budgets tighten. 
 
Royal Prince Alfred Hospital has stopped giving images to patients as it reviews charges.

A senior Health Department official told The Sunday Telegraph charging expectant mums for an image of their unborn child was outrageous.

Opposition leader John Robertson called on the state government to rule out charging for such images.
"There are few moments in life more emotional and significant than those first glimpses of your unborn child in the womb," Mr Robertson said.

"I still remember seeing my kids on the monitor for the first time - it was incredible."   Read Here
