A young boy performed CPR on his trapped and unconscious father after a motorcycle crash at a Wairarapa beach.
The boy, believed to be about 10, was riding with his father on Riversdale beach when the 40-year-old Masterton man crashed in a "jump gone wrong" in the sand dunes.
The unconscious father was pinned under his motorcycle with a broken collar bone and suspected spinal injuries.
Bob Alsop, who runs the Riversdale store, said a member of the public discovered the boy performing CPR on his father, who was unconscious for several minutes after the crash about 3pm on Friday. More Read
