TONY Abbott will launch a
pre-emptive strike on Julia Gillard by opening preselections across NSW
and will consider a trial of people power to select candidates in two
federal seats.
The Sunday Telegraph can reveal that the NSW Liberals will open preselections for candidates on Monday targeting marginals and western Sydney, throwing open nominations in nearly 40 federal seats.
"If you share our commitment to delivering good government and restoring hope, reward and opportunity for all Australians, we want to hear from you," Mr Abbott told The Sunday Telegraph.
"With rising taxes, a rising cost of living, and now a damaging carbon tax, there doesn't appear to be any reward for working hard and doing the right thing. That's why we're calling for nominations from people who want to get Australia back on track." More Read
