£450k cheat picks up benefits in Jag

A SUPER-scrounger who milked around £450,000 in welfare handouts drove a Jaguar to pick up giros and cash them.

Greedy Bert Mooney, 65, created two fake IDs.

He then falsely claimed disability and housing benefits in those names — as well as his own.

As part of his brazen scam, Mooney, of Hulme, Manchester, gave addresses for his alter-egos John and George Mooney.

One was 200 miles away in London and the other 100 miles away in North Wales. He would then drive the Jag between the two addresses and his own home to pick up his giros — which he then cashed at the nearest post office.          Full Read
