The BMI is used by medical professionals to rank a person as underweight, healthy, overweight or obese. The calculation is weight (in kilograms) divided by height (in metres) squared.
Official guidelines state that if your BMI is between 18.5 and 25, you are the right weight. If you’re between 25 and 30, you are overweight.
