Relegated Blackburn fans cry fowl

A CHICKEN was let loose at Ewood Park as Blackburn went through the Premier League eggs-it door.

Rovers suffered relegation from the top flight after a 1-0 defeat to fellow-strugglers Wigan dashed their slim survival hopes.

And the home fans clearly had little faith in their side achieving it as they smuggled the rooster into the ground.

With a Blackburn scarf draped around its neck, the bird was released onto the pitch in an ironic gesture towards the club’s controversial owners Venky’s, the Indian chicken farming company.              More Read
