Christopher Whaley Arrested: Florida Man Allegedly Murdered Grandmother In Her Bathtub

A grandmother's last words to a grandson accused of stabbing her to death may have spared the rest of her family's lives, police in Florida say.

"I love you," was the final sentence Barbara Denmark uttered to her grandson, Christopher Chase Whaley. The 23-year-old allegedly murdered his grandmother in her bathtub following an argument on Saturday, according to a police report obtained by The Huffington Post.

Around 8:15 p.m., Polk County Sheriff's Patrol deputies responded to a call from the suspect's residence in Lake Wales. Upon arrival, authorities discovered the 69-year-old victim's body in her bedroom, with the suspect "cradling her head" in his hands, according to the report.           More Read
