Arkansas football coach Bobby Petrino was placed on paid
administrative leave Thursday night, less than a week after he and a
25-year-old female athletic department employee were involved in a
motorcycle crash, athletic director Jeff Long announced.
Shortly before Long spoke at a press conference, Petrino apologized for the events surrounding his wreck while also admitting to a “previous inappropriate relationship” in a released statement.
Petrino at first did not tell the school that Jessica Dorrell, a former Arkansas volleyball player and current Razorback Foundation fundraiser, was his passenger in a wreck that sent the coach to the hospital.
