A BRITISH Army dog has sniffed out one of the biggest bombs found in Afghanistan, The Sun can reveal.
The 20kg device was spotted by two-year-old Belgian shepherd Oslo — dubbed "Poirot the nose" after the telly detective.Handler Lance Corporal Darren Evans, 28, yesterday said the dog took just a minute to find the device. He added: "If Oslo hadn't found it, someone could have stepped on it. I was very proud of him."
L/Cpl Evans and Oslo were called after the Afghan army saw a wire sticking out the ground.
Oslo was sent down the track in Nahr-e Saraj, Helmand Province, and within 25 metres had uncovered the device. Full Read
