Brain tumour girl's trip of a lifetime

DURING the trip of a lifetime to swim with dolphins, 13-year-old Jade Thomas dashed back to her hotel room to draw a picture of the captivating creatures.

The simple sketch now takes pride of place in her bedroom along with a diary of her experiences at Discovery Cove, in Orlando, Florida.

But the picture is more than a mere memento of the trip – without it Jade would be in danger of forgetting the incredible experience entirely.

For Jade has not just completed an amazing first journey to the United States but a brave battle with a brain tumour which has left her with crippling memory loss.    Full Read
