'$1 million' left behind in suitcase in cafe

A suitcase reportedly containing "a million dollars" was left in a Sydney cafe yesterday morning in an episode befitting a Hollywood film.

The two owners of Caffe Marco in Burwood, in Sydney's inner-west, thought the deserted suitcase was a bomb at first and calmly placed it on the footpath of George Street until police arrived.

A worker at the dentist surgery next door watched as police cautiously opened the suitcase to find wads of cash inside.    Read More
